Achievement Emotions of Medical Students: Do They Predict Self-regulated Learning and Burnout in an Online Learning Environment?

Background Achievement emotions have been proven as important indicators of students’ academic performance in traditional classrooms and beyond. In the online learning contexts, previous studies indicated that achievement would affect adoption self-regulated strategies further predict their outcomes. However, pathway regarding how different positive negative might burnout through among medical students environments remains unclear. this study, aim is to investigate education.Methods This study involved 282 who had attended courses due sudden shift mode caused by COVID-19 pandemic 2022. Confirmatory factor analysis was performed examine hypothesized structure, structural equation modelling conducted test relationships factors.Results The results revealed self-efficacy positively predicted enjoyment (β = .57) .54). Learning-related boredom inhibited −.24), it associated with anxiety a predictor .38).Discussions suggest experienced significant impact on burnout. Specifically, experience learning-related detrimental increased likelihood anxiety, despite being emotion, learning. These findings implications for teaching learning, particularly post-pandemic era.
